Because of how valuable the effect of Arcane Energize is, it is still very helpful to be used in a team even if only at rank 1 or 2.

Some of those modes are a "must" (for orphix, which starts on Venus Proxima and blocks the way very early BTW) and are hard to earn, know about, let alone having some limited timeframe to even try to look for a specific tile, while even in which, some modes have only a tiny chance to drop.
